SAFETY MANAGER

Bachelor of Science in Safety required
Certified Safety Professional Preferred
Minimum of five years work experience preferred in metals, mining, heavy manufacturing or construction

Company is looking for a dynamic, knowledgeable person who has strong
safety experience. Candidate must posses planning, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills, along with sound judgment and computer skills.
Position responsible for safety process, which includes compliance with Federal, State and local regulations. Includes OSHA record keeping, confined space, energy control, fall protection, etc.
Participate in the investigation of serious incidents and near misses, safety training and contractor safety orientation. Works closely with all levels of the organization, legal counsel, federal and state agencies, officials, safety consultants and peers. Experience in
manufacturing facility with a union environment preferred. Excellent communication (oral and written) required.
Excellent human relation skills are required.
